Forgotten

The Botanic gardens in Riga is not really on the the tourist trail. Its run down and needs lots of repair. But it has this amazing soviet 'block' like glass house and some incredible tree specimins. I loved its decay. . In a far corner we found these smashed glass houses full of forgotten sculpture.
An old Russian gardner woman shouted at us more out of habit than malice.
We smiled and after a while she smiled back (a little). The coffee machine was an experience in itself, like something out on an early Dr Who episode.
All around this area of Riga are the most amazing wooden buildings.
You realise were the architecture of the Wild West came from. Again the tourists don't seem to have noticed this place. Most of them seem to getting drunk over the river.
