Meeting Tigraki
Tigraki arrived in Dublin last night for a stay of a few days. We arranged to meet, and did that, meeting in Grafton Street and moving on to Lunch in Brasserie 66, one of Dublin's currently most popular restaurants. We had a great time. The food was good, the chat was mighty. We got on really well, conversation was non-stop.
After a leisurely lunch we went on to The Old Stand, one of my favourite city-centre pubs. Tigraki had a list of Dublin hot spots which he'd got from the internet, and I offered to look the list over and give a yay or nay as appropriate and even suggest some other places which hadn't made it to his list of places to go. Before we knew it, a few hours had passed. I already had an arrangement to meet a friend later on, so had to drag myself away from Tigraki and his friend Leon (no marks for guessing which is Tigraki -- hint: who's clutching the camera?) to sort my head out before heading back in to town in a couple of hours time. (By the way, the reason neither of them is looking at the blipper is that they were utterly fascinated by the non-stop flow of passers-by.)
Strange thing is: I'd expected to take lots and lots and lots of photos during our encounter, but I came home with only three shots in the camera. There was one other similar to this, and there was also this shot of Tigraki's lunch dessert (with just a glimpse of Tigraki behind).
The important thing is that we met, we hit it off, and we wouldn't have met at all if it wasn't for Blip. God Bless Blip!
