From the North

Mr. Facepalm, I presume

This is my great uncle but as you might think he's not trying to hide his face from me ...he's just making a facepalm because my sister and cousins.

My sister: "So this is the brand new frying pot?"
Unca: "Not actually, this is a bathing tub, not a frying pot."
Cousin #1: "Omg, we're all gonna get fried in that pot? AAAAA!"
Unca: "Nooo, it's a bathing tub where we go and bath in warm water and..."
Cousin #2: "FRYING POT AAAAAA!!!"
Unca: "Bathing t..."
Cousin 1#: "FRIED KIDS AAAAA!!!"
Unca: "Ba..."
All together: "FRIED KIDS IN A FRYING POT AAAAAAAAAA!!!" *run away*
Unca: "..."

That was that and great aunt just watched the kids getting mad, wondering what's actually going on. Next about uncle and aunt's place. It lies in the island of Saverkeit which is a part of Houtskär which in turn is a part of the city of Länsi-Turunmaa. Great unca has built everything by himself: the hut, smoke sauna, bathing tub, fish house, outhouse, pier and even the rowing boat. The proper cottage isn't ready yet but will be soon. Unca is a very skillful carpenter by his occupation so it's easy for him to build nearly anything.

Great aunt made some delicious food as she always does. (She's a kitchen chef by her occupation.) I set the fire to the smoke sauna which takes 5-6 hours to get smoky. Unca filled the bathing tub by the pump and set the fire to its stove. +37 is a perfect temperature for the water in the tub, he says. We went to swim in the sea where the water was such cold and deep blue green. My cousins wanted to 'fish' some seaweed. Hmh.

The smoke sauna was lovely and the bathing tub worked as it should. We ate again and grilled sausages. There's a very beautiful sunset in the archipelago, did you know? Went to sleep such early because we had woke up at 5 a.m. to drive all the way to the archipelago.
