Dragon Fly!

I found a new park today alongside a small stream, not far from my house. As I listened to evening commute traffic on the local freeway not far from the park, I was able to enjoy nature and a slow moving stream with all the riparian habitat found normally miles away - very exciting.

This guy decided to be the last of the welcoming party and I couldn't resist letting him grace my sensor. Dragonflies are magnificent. They seem almost primeval and prehistoric. Actually, a little research says they are.
