Sunset through the storm

This was our last night at the Three Stallion Inn, Vermont and we'd invited all the cousins over for dinner. About half an hour before they arrived, the storm broke - before that the clouds were looming (I'll post these on Flickr later) but it didn't stop the golfers on the course opposite who kept playing until the heavy rain, thunder & lightning started - then they sheltered under a tree! Doh!

After dinner, the sky turned an amazing colour and we dashed outside to photograph it. This is straight from the camera - the sky and road were brilliant orange except for a tiny patch of blue - but not enough for a sailor's pair of trousers.
