Baby Girl

Dear Baby Girl,

This is my first letter to you and we still have to wait two months until we get to meet you. Until we get to hold you. Until we get to welcome you into our lives. I wanted to tell you how excited your family is to have you. You have been a dream. A want. A wish. For years and years and years.

You have two big brothers who can't wait to spoil you. You have a grinning Daddy who is already wondering how he is going to do your hair. And you have a Mommy who has a permanent sparkle in her eye. All because of you. You are the completion to your family. You are already so loved and so very cherished. I wanted you to know that.

Today I had the privilege of photographing your family with their arms around you. Holding you. Loving you. Keeping you safe. You must feel their love right now. I know you do. And you will be bringing splashes of pink and purple into what has been a "trucks and army guys" type of house.

And our family is thrilled that you will be in all of our lives soon. When I first heard the words, "they are having a girl", I cried tears of pure happiness five times before I was finally able to give your Mommy a hug. You are a very special little girl being born into a very special little family.
