A gift from the birds

We went up to the Farmers Market early on - didn't notice any blippers but maybe I was too intent on foraging. There was a camera crew filming though, so some future epic may possibly feature DaveH purchasing some smoked haddock from Patterson's.

Then it was up to the allotment, which looked almost as overgrown after two hours of hard graft as it did when I arrived. There was a lot of food to harvest as well, though. Yum. I found that the one sunflower that came up from the seeds I planted was still only about 6" high - but this little beauty had come up all by itself in the corner by one of the compost bins. You can see its source, top left - the seeds we put in the feeder include sunflower seeds and the birds drop a fair few.
