Meet Martin. Martin is the other half of Martin and Emma who we had the pleasure of company for the last 2 days.

We met Martin at the same hotel that we and he met Emma. Interestingly, there were a few couples that got together from that hotel around that time that are still together. We know of at least 5 couples including us.

Martin is from the North East of England from a town a wee bit north of Newcastle which gives him a wonderful alternative geordie accent that I still get tripped up on occasionally. I most famously thought he'd expertly thrown a set of keys the length of a corridor and managed to fire them right into the lock. He'd actually thrown the keys in the loch.

Martin and Emma are reasons why I firmly believe Facebook is a wonderful thing. In the course of simultaneous house moves, we both lost contact with each other for about 3 or 4 years. Facebook found Martin and Emma and a whole host of others that worked in the area at the time.
