Sunset at Big Hill!

Here's what we witnessed as we eat dinner on the back porch.....i love the rich colours of the sky and the reminder of laundry still on the line.....maybe i can leave it there till tomorrow!!!

We've had a productive day here at Big Hill.....a new wwoofer, Amy arrived a couple of days ago....oh how wonderful to have some female energy...not that i dislike the testosterone driven energy of the young men we get here....it has it own appeal, but to have another female is just so lovely....and Amy is fitting right in with this little group! We've prepared cabins for upcoming clients, wood has been stacked and cut (courtesy of Amy and Richard), new sitting stools have been created (by Terry) to add to the campfire experience, and a very hot bisque kiln was unloaded, then waxed and glazed by moi.....and then hamburgers on the grill and this lovely sunset. There was so very disagreeable talk about the fact that pretty soon it'll be August, and that of course leads me into the thought that then it'll be September....and it really doesn't take very much to push me over that edge of summer sanity, into the idea of winter - ahhhh, it really isn't that close, but it is closer than it was a month ago! But i have to remark on the crazy ads on tv this evening....there was actually an ad with skiing in it...i mean what is up with that crazy notion......like i'm going to buy that brand, they have completely missed my target area.....it's summer, i want warm and sunny - adds that involve blue swimming pools and sweet little drinks by the ocean.....not someone heading down a ski slope - it's just too much!

ok, mini rant over, now we're apparently heading over to play some ping pong....god help me!!!!
