brazil v portugal tonight. this is the result of the waitress kicking the projector plug out of the wall at the local coffee shop (and unofficial worl cup headquarters for expats/english-speaking chinese) in yibin.

of course, at left was the large image, beamed onto the wall, and all faces are pointed right, as there is also a small screen on the other wall that was showing the cote d'ivoire match. needless to say, there were immediate requests to switch to the brazil/portugal match.

it was definitely a few moments of terror at the coffee shop, and was early enough in the match that the crowd did not threaten to empty the place. all in all, neither team needed the win, but hey, it's brazil and portugal on the pitch - who doesn't want to watch?
