702 Walk the Talk

702 Talk Radio hosts the "Walk the Talk" event in Johannesburg every year, with the theme "Making Joburg Great". It's a walking event, so NO RUNNING!

There is a 5,8,15 and 30km walk through the streets of Johannesburg. This year there were over 50 000 entries once again... by far one of the biggest events of the year.

You can also enter your dog for the 5/8km walks. The dogs are sponsored by Royal Canin, who man the doggy water points, complete with water bowls, swimming pools and grassy areas where they can "freshen up".

Sean and I took Paddington with us for the 8km walk. It was very crowded and we had to take the shuttle bus from our parking spot to the starting point. Paddington is socialised, but has never been in a massive crowd like that. He was a real star... in the bus, in the crowd, with all the other dogs... and he had a swim at every doggy water point, much to the delight of everybody looking on!

It was a wonderful day and I'm so proud of my big boy:)

(PS. Dogs need to be at least 1 year old to enter, so Baloo will be joining the three of us next year!)
