Rain in the Big Apple

There's been a fair bit of rain in recent days here in New York. I've managed to avoid getting drenched which is not difficult as there is always somewhere to take shelter. I took several photographs of people caught in the rain from those wearing carrier bags on their heads but thoroughly drenched otherwise to those who walked around as if rain was their best friend :)

This picture shows a woman crossing the road. At first glance, it looks as if she is not wearing any shoes...but I guess she must have been.
