A Passing Shower
It was my birthday weekend and as a final celebration we headed up for a wander round Bennachie in between the heavy showers that had been passing through Aberdeenshire. It was a muggy day and though we got wet this was more than compensated for by the dramatic views we got from the summit. Though Mither Tap is the most recognisable of Bennachie's numerous summits, Oxen Craig is the highest and it was this that we headed to. The view from here takes in the upper reaches of the Garioch towards Rhynie and the Tap o' the North. Beyond that, the shapely mountain almost hidden by a shower is Ben Rinnes.
