On the cycle into work along the river Wye today I came across these fences chained to a tree. They are fences with signs saying "footpath closed" and "diversion", intestingly pointing into the river.

Lots of people come down to this river to enjoy the view, they must be a bit disappointed at the moment.

Cant believe that they have to padlock things to the countryside these days and especially in Surrey.
