I have trouble asking people if I can take their picture, even if I know them. But last week, I managed to ask 4 people. Three said 'yes', no doubt because my first question was: "Do you want to be famous?"
And yes, all 4 were co-workers, but still. Small steps.
So today was Vanessa's turn.
Ness models the latest in employee escapism: is she here, in front of the building we work in, or is she on a walkway leading to an exotic island?
When I got home I started up layers in Gimp and because I royally suck at any kind of processing it was taking me so long that I told the Beloved that it was best if we went and saw Mom & Dad Broty first. So we did. There was hugging and good food and masses of icecream for dessert. All lovely!
Then we went back home and I sat myself down again with my layers and the suckage.
And we had no internet.
And no t.v.
The Beloved called and they said: "Someone cut a cable, we are working on it"
Two and a half hours later there's still nothing. On the bedroom t.v Oprah is frozen in time, mouth half open. I was hoping that I could will her into coming back alive but no.
After me claiming we will be without internet and t.v for the rest of our lives, the Beloved called again. Now they are not even picking up.
I think everyone went home and my hours of work and mediocre results will be a backBlip that nobody ever sees anyway.
Hmmmm.
(11.45 PM. Nothing. I was SO right. Off to bed.)
(7.00 AM. We're back in business :))
