A Day on the Sound

Today was spent enjoying the beauty of summertime in Seattle. I ferried over to the Kitsap peninsula with my friend J, we drove around through Port Orchard and Bremerton just for the fun of it, and then we ferried back. On the way back we were treated to this great view of Mt. Rainier.

We were also treated to spectacular views of the Olympics, the Cascades, and the Seattle skyline -- all of which make the Puget Sound one of the most breathtaking places in the world -- but I like the simplicity of this picture. If you stare at it long enough, you can almost imagine that the snow on Mt. Rainier is just a peculiar pattern of clouds in the sky.
