Squabbles

A lot of activity on the town ponds this morning; I tried some arty into the sun shots of a snowy egret; although I was amazed that the sun was so strong that his bones showed as if on an x-ray, I didn't get it focused properly; the whistling ducks watching breakfast fly in were quite amusing too; they were very vocal and did a lot of whistling this morning. In the end I went with the squabbling ibis. There seem to be quite a few family reunions at this time of year; my daughter-in-law's family held theirs the day before a family wedding and it all went off very well. Had it been my family, a get together and a wedding in the same week would have spelt disaster. The ibis feel the same way.
