My little plastic friend
This is Bertie, he is my little plastic friend who looks after all my fifty pence pieces until I have enough for a new lens / gadget etc. I find him more useful than the other kind of plastic friend, who lets you spend money you haven't got and then sends you a big bill at the end of the month. I am afraid I treated my last plastic friend of the second kind rather harshly, taking a pair of scissors to him and cutting him up in little pieces. On the other hand, Bertie and I get on very well.
I've managed to open up some ugly gaps in my blipping history; a recent bereavement and some life changes are to blame, although I did do a lot of walking and thinking, so I have backblipped a peacock, a hare, a dragonfly, a butterfly and a couple of house martins for those of you who like wildlife.
I am hoping normal service is resumed. On the positive side, I have begun my studies in preparation for the commencement of my MA course in September. Renaissance Florence is fascinating!
