Off to new beginnings

Berliner Altbau

After a lovely party at the neighbour's flat last night with serious drink and serious networking activities we went round our area this afternoon where we happened upon a huge Pumpkin celebration (there were a few colourful shots of them that almost won the blip-competition), a big street party with plenty of stuff for the kids, although Lilli didn't enjoy her first horse ride as much as expected, mainly because she was keen on the white horse, not the brown one she got (because her mother fierce as a lioness only managed to get her that one after several attempts competing with 20 other eager mums!).

On the way home we walked past this typical Berlin house, lovely with its balconies and the reflection of the blue skies in the upper windows.

Then visited our Israeli/German neighbours upstairs who have 3 year old triplets and enjoyed listening to their Hebrew bantering and eating their lovely cakes, which were later followed by Chinese takeway, one of the first for us here - only cost us 20 euros, which is a lot better than the 30 odd pounds we used to spend at Silver Bowl!

Now I am watching Tatort, our German police drama with cult status, and my man is off to watch the rugby in some pub. It might be a different country, but some things never change!
