lifeturns Saltaire
I cycled a few miles along the canal to Saltaire today. It is a model village built by the millowner Sir Titus Salt to house his workers. It is also a World Heritage Site. There were groups of visitors looking at the very individual shops and wandering the old textile machinery halls which now house companies, a restaurant and the Hockney Gallery.
Back on the canal side I stopped for a hot chocolate at the cafe-barge and a very obliging young man agreed to be my blip for today, much to the amusement of his friends!!
