Clowning around

Basin de la Villette, which is part of the Paris Plages month, where the banks of the Seine and parts of the city's canal system are turned into an urban beach. There is sand, parasols, deckchairs, free boules, a lido and lots lots more for the city folk to enjoy. This clown is all part of the entertainment.

It's such a great idea -- somebody has really been thinking about how to get a city to work for its population rather than the other way round. A bit like the Lake Geneva idea of a few blips ago.
