Texture by Accident
I had been trying (rather unsuccessfully) to take some pictures to represent "texture" for a competition. I'd been out and about and was not impressed with the photos I had. Sometimes, it just doesn't "gel". I'm sure we've all been there and had days like that!
So I got home and I was going to take some head-and-shoulders portraits of hubby for a new poster he is putting together to advertise his personal training sessions. I set my lights up and pointed the camera at the wall. I wanted to test the remote control I had for my camera, and test the lighting, so I stuck my hand about where his head would be.
This is the result. As a portrait, it's rubbish.
Texture? I quite like it.
