Here are some facts about the chilled plastic bottle next to you, on your desk, at the gym, at the park, and what it says about our culture of INDULGENCE

?according to Fast company, Thirty years ago, bottled water barely existed as a business in the United States. Americans spent more money last year on bottled water than on ipods or movie tickets: 29.8 billion

?Fiji Water produces more than a million bottles a day, while more than half the people in Fiji do not have reliable drinking water.

?If the water we use at home cost what even cheap bottled water costs, our monthly water bills would run $9,000.

?24% of the bottled water we buy is tap water repackaged by Coke and Pepsi.

?Nearly eight out of every 10 bottles will end up in a landfill.

?It is estimated that the production of plastics accounts for 4 percent of the energy consumption in the U.S.

?Less than 1 percent of all plastics is recycled. Therefore, almost all plastics are incinerated or end up in a landfill.

?24 million gallons of oil are needed to produce a billion plastic bottles.

?Bottled water is no safer than tap water

Although it can be easy and convenient to pick up bottle beverage products the end cost to the environment is
staggering. So be mindful when you drink...and remember, friends don't let friends drink from disposables!

Bottled water is not a sin. But it is a choice, make the right one!
