Book club book selection #2

Last night was my first book club meeting. It went pretty good! There were about five new people which made it easier to fit in. I was worried that everyone would love the book we had read for July, "The Postmistress," but luckily it was universally hated (except by one lady who said she liked it).

So, it turns out they rotate genres every month (last month it was historical fiction, June was "new" fiction ... Next month is travel...) and August is chick lit. I'm not the biggest fan of chick lit but I do indulge every now and again. I have never read anything by Candace Bushnell and I really love Sex and the City (the tv series and movies) so I'm hoping this will be good (but my expectations are low).
