Old Wayne Road
One of my favorite drive by shootings. The town of Wayne has a number of beautiful estates along Old Historic Wayne Road. The entrances and gateways are lovely. Unfortunately, the road has no shoulder which makes it impossible to pull a car over, and there is no place to park. I'm assuming this is by design. The residents do not want people hanging around. Taking a picture is nearly impossible because there is just enough traffic that you must keep moving. You cant stop in the middle of the road...which is what I did to get this shot. (much to the dismay of the motorists behind me)
I drove back and forth about 10 times, slowing each time to do some light metering, focusing, and general composition. When I was ready I waited for a gap in traffic. I barely stopped long enough to put the camera to my face and push the button. The picture came out just a bit blurry so I over processed it with sharpness, saturation, and contrast to cover it up. Maybe next time I'll ask my husband to drop me off so I can walk the road instead.
