Valkyrien
The Jarvis knows that age brings experience, and experience brings wisdom. So old geezers, unless they're a bit thick, will generally congregate in pubs that are cheap, full of character and empty of bullshit - i.e., a Jarvis bar. Valkyrien ("The Valkyrie") in the Majorstuen area of Oslo is one such old geezer's Jarvis bar. It's one of Oslo's best-known "brown bars", so called because their walls used to be stained brown by nicotine from all the old geezers sitting in there drinking and smoking (smoking is now banned in all indoor areas in Norway). Valkyrien was used judiciously as a location in Norwegian director Bent Hamer's wonderfully understated film O'Horten.
