Dinner and a Movie
Yep, we're back to blipping dinner*.
I waited in all day for two deliveries. Obviously neither showed up. Tomorrow if I slip out of the house for 2 minutes they will both show and leave their lovely little calling cards on the mat. I really do think they all lurk just around the corner waiting for me to go out.
Still, there was some delightful Ikea building work to be done (which always brings a smile to my face even when I discover that Mr B has - yet again - not checked the 8 digit number and has brought the wrong thing home. So now we have another wine rack. We do not need any more wine racks. We are trying to devise a use for it as a shoe holder.) And the kids are so keen on the home schooling idea that they asked for lessons today. Lesson One: tidying the playroom. Lesson Two: black pasta won't kill you - try it.
(Lesson Three for the P5 class was in library filing systems, and for the P1s was in how to read the words cat and tree. (It was a story about cats and trees, I didn't just pick random words.))
Tomorrow I will be more organised. I have planned an activity around classifying animals into mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird and marsupial (did I forget one? I feel like I forgot one.) Which will deal with art, letter identification and teamwork.
Tomorrow the kids will just want to lie in front of the telly watching a movie.
* Squid ink pasta with cuttlefish, red peppers and chorizo.
