On my way home

Argh. Wrote a really long and therapeutic posting about the day i had at work today but IE crashed and i lost the lot.

I'll take that as a sign from the IT gods that it was drivel which no one wants to hear about and write this instead.

Missed the live.turns launch last night, so quickly skimmed through the webcast after the event and almost fell off my seat laughing when i spotted my old manager Scobes.
He was on top form last night and it was good to have a bit of email banter with him.

Must make more of an effort to get through to Edinburgh and buy some of the old workmates a pint or two of IPA and have a blether. Amazing how many people I've worked with or work with now who are blippers.

I'm thinking that attendance at the next blip meet might be in order!

As it had started to rain by the time i left work, i decided a change of plans was in order (had wanted to try some people shots), so took the back roads to the Fourth Bridge this evening and stopped by an old bridge looking for interesting things to shoot.

I've driven over this bridge many times, but never stopped or explored. It's part of the Forth and Clyde Canal, and was really relaxing having a couple of mins to myself here. I think I'll go back with the kids and spend more time wandering around.

Several of the intended shots for tonight didn't turn out as i had expected, so I've selected this one. I'm feeling the draw of the camera shop and a certain macro lens, but will resist for a while longer, and get in the habit of swapping from the big lens to the 50mm for close up shots, as the prime is a stonker and very forgiving for learners like me.

Special thanks today to Mrs P for fulfilling the matt black faux suede material order that I'm going to use for some blip backdrops. The roses i bought her on the way home will be test subjects for tomorrows blip ;)

I love you JB.
