Tondu Iron Works

This Victorian factory is located just down the road from us. The brickwork is quite mad. It was built in 1838 when there was much demand for welsh iron. Sadly, it's another industry we lost along with coal.

Strange Saturday here. Quiet. Home alone still which is a little lonely but, boy, did I enjoy staying in bed 'til 9 this morning - haven't done that for ages. Did some good work in the Fox last night :-)

Went up to the butchers on the local farm to secure tonight's man-alone food (amazing piece of welsh black ribeye) and will now be pottering for the rest of the day.

Oh - and just realised we moved into our house two years ago today. Feels like we've always been here.
