So we are in the second half of the year. How quickly it has gone.
We found the house, now we are looking for some furniture for it. Not that we couldn't fill it up with all the stuff we have already. But a new house, a house for forever, needs some good planning and new pieces suiting it just right. So off we went to salvage places, antique places, asking everywhere about wrought iron beds. It turns out that the antique dealers don't stock them because they can't shift them. but there is one place... and we'll be going there next week. The thing is we bought this sofa-bed in the Swedish store and it is the most useless, uncomfortable guest bed available. One third of it is a wooden plank, the head piece is unattached to the rest and we have been torturing people with this thing for far too long. I fancy a nice metal bed from the same period as the house, with a very modern and comfortable mattress. It would be nice to find something for the current guest and it is quite important we find it before new guests arrive in September.
It looks like we are not the only ones shopping around this Sunday.
