Orchids

One of the best things about summer. I'm assuming these are Common Spotted (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) I know ~Pipistrelle will put me right, if not.

A lovely stroll today at Roslin Glen, again. This time with a lot less rain, and the addition of M! :) Beautiful mature oak, sycamore, ash and beech woods, with wild raspberries and blaeberries, wild garlic and glades with orchids and campions doing their thing.

After Meles' success with the peacock butterfly, yesterday we saw a Comma today. The first I've seen in Scotland, I think, but too fast for either of us to bring lens to bear :(
