The Last Wicket
As expected the England victory came today, though perhaps a little earlier than anticipated, with the cricket over by lunchtime. And this was the moment the last wicket fell to the bowling of Anderson and the waiting hands of Swann. (as mentioned yesterday the proper weekend pics will be added whne back home to a decent computer).
So with loads of time spare the day became beer, castle, beer, cinema, beer, dinner, beer. Which breaks down into beer and lunch in a canal house beer garden (with the canal actually running into the indoor part!); a visit to Nottingham Castle; beer in the oldest pub in England (Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem); the A-Team in the cinema (glorious ridiculous fun); pizza plus beer for dinner; then a couple of drinks in the bar beside the hotel.
Tomorrow is Melton Mowbray for pies and stilton cheese.
