The world's greatest ever airliner.
Even if you have no great love for technology Concorde is a thing of beauty that can't help but enthrall all who see her close up. Well maybe not everybody
There is quote in the exhibition:
For those of us who live in the shadow of this noisy monster, there aren't too many of us who are sorry to see it go.
Anthony D. Weiner, Congressman for the 9th district of New York regards Concorde.
I've seen that quote before but a wit (can't remember how) retorted that the Congressman didn't like being reminded four times per day that the worlds greatest airliner came from Europe.
It's many things Mr. Weiner, but it's never been a monster.
I tried to get a picture of the boys on a bomb in another part of the museum "Dr.Stranglove" style, an attendant gave us a row about the kids on an exhibit, how exactly do you damage a 1000 lb airburst fragmentation munition anyway?
