Day Six - Vuda Point, Fiji
Backblip #6
After visiting Suva and all the families there, we traveled the long road back to Vuda Point, which is near Latoka, Fiji. This is where we will stay a couple of days before we leave on our journey home from Nadi.
My husband's family has a sugar cane farm in Vuda and live on the most beautiful land on earth. When you wake each morning and step outside, you see the ocean just across the road, the mountains just behind the house, vast sugar cane fields, warm skies, abundant flowers and fruits and even a few goats, chickens, ducks and cows.
This shot is in the evening as the sun was going down. This is the shot from the back of the house. My oldest was wrestling with goats just to the right, and then I noticed this beautiful tree bathed in reddish tones. I kick myself for not heading to the beach for probably the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. I took it for granted that it would happen again the next night and that sleep was what I really needed to do. That same sunset is only kept in my memory now, as the next evening presented nothing like it.
