Skye

Another member of the family yet to be introduced - this is Skye, a bit of a Heinz 57 mutt rescued from the cat and dog home many years ago. She's a big softie and the kids love her, although I think that feeling is only mutual around the kids' dinner time!

We got her when she was around a year old, and she ran away all the time. One time she managed to give poor vik and her husband Chaos Daddy a heart attack - they nearly ran Skye over as she ran across a main road and they were driving towards her in their car at the time! She's one lucky dog not to have come a cropper that day. And that the Chaos car's brakes were in good working order!

And now she's around 11 or 12 years old and a much more sedate (yet still spritely) lady, the running-away days are long gone - she knows a good thing when she's got it! Even if she does get ridden like a horse or used as a step by wee D... :-)

Not a great photo, I know - but how hard is it to get a dog to sit still?! Doesn't help either with focussing that her nose sticks out so much further than the rest of her face!!
