That's what H has and he normally uses a low dose steroid nasal spray to control it. Now he's on a trial which sounds a bit off-the-wall but we'll see how it goes.
It transpires that certain wavelengths of red light potentially suppress the histamine response. The device that H has shoved up his nostrils emits a particular frequency of red light which may suppress his symptoms.
He thinks it's hilarious and is fascinated by the way it makes his nose glow red.
" You have to blip this mummy," he said or rather, " Oo ap doo blip dis bobby..."
So I did :-)
