Will and the wood

Today's the day ................ to triumph over adversity

This is Will. He spent all the morning and most of the afternoon fixing and painting the wooden rails of a balcony thing at the end of our garden. He decided to remove the long board on top of the rails to paint that too ......... and that's when everything fell to bits because the rails were actually rotten.

Undeterred, he went off to get some new wood and this is where I saw him when I got home from work.

It's now quite dark (!) and he's still out there sawing and hammering - determined not to be beaten by a bit of rotten wood.

He'll go far that man ................
