Azeri Wedding Party.

The peace and quiet of our flat was broken in the early evening by a blaring sirens and car horns... looking out of my window I saw the reason - yes a wedding party. Close friends and family tie ribbons to their cars and drive in convoy, lights flashing, horns blasting (and here we have horns that sound like sirens, fire crackers, even wolves howling), to the brides house. This convoy numbered about ten who had difficulty manoeuvring round our building. Having unloaded their passengers who entered the brides house with gift baskets, they just about managed to turn themselves around (our building doesn't have a through driveway), in time for the bride and family to emerge 10 minutes later and depart - here you see the bride's car (number plate covered with a message) as I saw it peering down from our balcony.
