a better fate than wisdom

An Afternoon at Fenway

Part of my reason for taking the train across country (and back) this summer was so that I could visit the two oldest ballparks in the country while they are still there to visit. On the way west I saw a game at Wrigley, and today, before heading back home to Virginia, my good friend R and I caught a game at Fenway. It was a beautiful day for baseball and, as you can see, Red Sox fans were out in full force.

(The Sox won on a walk-off bunt in the bottom of the ninth.)
