Neptune's trident

Well, the idea came up rather suddenly...:
"How would it be to have a statue in the garden?"

Eeeuh, could be nice.
And: what kind of statue should it be?
Well, we saw a Neptune statue, second hand on Internet (Markplaats) but we were not quite sure how it would fit in the garden.
So we went to a few shops where they sell garden statues but after seeing all that we decided to buy the Neptune...
The sellers bought it some years ago in Spain and took it home in the back of the car.

About the trident: this isn't the original one.
The family we bought it from told us that neptune was in their front garden with a nice and shining trident.
But the people in the village where they live are rather religious and they thought it was the devil who was standing in the garden so someone stole the trident....
After that they moved Neptune to the back of the house.
Now they want to change the garden into something Japanese and Neptune doesn't fit into that.

We are happy with it and for the trident I will find some stainless steel....

Curious: all the time butterflies are sitting on his head, sunbathing....
