Elm Street

Old music press covers adorn the walls in Elm Street, one of Oslo's best-known rock bars. It's a metal bar, which means that the music isn't always to a Jarvis's taste, but it's not as snobbish in its selections as some of Oslo's metal bars. Elm Street also had a brief period of infamy as it was one of the preferred hangouts of a number of black metal musicians who in the early 1990s gained notoriety after a suicide, a murder and church burnings within the scene. Black metal musicians are not and can never be Jarvises. Johnny Cash, however, was proper Jarvis.
