Bus Stance...

I found myself at the front of the bus stop queue today. The nature of this position lends itself heavily on facing outwards towards the road with my back to the pavement at it's kerb edge.

After a couple of minutes standing like this, I just felt there was something missing.

All I was seeing was the traffic passing and the occasional pedestrian on the other less travelled side. I was missing the rich tapestry of human traffic on my bustling shared pavement. In my usual vantage point from the back of the queue, I face the direction of the road and see everyone else ahead of me and all those who pass by or join behind.

I turned to face away from the road. A much more interesting view even if it was only for those few bus waiting minutes. Had I not, I might have missed 'pen drawn face goth', 'granny fearing dog' and 'new goatee, black clad man'.
