Painted Lady
We travelled down to Welney Wetlands Centre in Norfolk today, not in the hope of seeing anything special but just because we hadn't been there for nearly a year and fancied a drive. The weather was brilliant in the morning but by twelve noon the heavens had opened and, caught between hides, we were drenched. When we finally reached shelter, we were treated to great claps of thunder but, fortunately, the storm didn't reach us ... and, half an hour later, the sun was shining again.
British weather, eh?
This young lady of the painted variety showed her face just before the rain started.
