Ooopsie.
My mum used to say I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on, and she knew what she was talking about because I inherited my poor memory from her! Today I forgot the one thing that's pretty essential for keeping a photo diary - my camera.
So I'm afraid this is an iPhone shot, processed to death in some kind of attempt to hide the mediocre quality of the camera. It's a mosaic from the floor of the entrance hall of the Lanyon building here in QUB, and shows the Ulster crest. It includes the red hand of Ulster, an ancient symbol which appears in many flags and crests from both communities here in Norn Iron, but has unfortunately (like so many other things) been tainted slightly since it was adopted by several militant loyalist groups. Sad when that happens.
