interva; scenery shifting
I went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream tonight, in the multi-lingual Indian version directed by Tim Supple. It was rather magical, and the last act in particular was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a theatre. This was taken in the interval, as Titania's fairies tore down the paper set to reveal a bare frame, against which, with the addition of bolts of red cloth, the correct alignment and reconciliation of the lovers, and the final play within the play were enacted.
