Busy Bee

This fellow is working his heart out to gather pollen to make honey for his Queen Bee. The Queen is going to love him and maybe give him some kind of bonus.

Note the pollen sacs on his rear legs.

They say it is a miracle that a bee can fly. It is even more of a miracle that they can fly carrying such a huge cargo. So much for aerodynamics....

He is with a group (swarm?) of his buddies that were all collecting pollen on this white texas ranger bush by the golf course.

We've had about three inches of rain and the desert is turning green.
