The Great British Queue

I had to go to the post office yesterday to put some ebay items in the post, there was a huge queue so I politely asked if this was normal, the lady said it was Monday which is the worst day and is was the first of the month so lost of bill and car tax etc so all in all a bad day.
I had to go again today to post some other stuff. The queue was not much better...
