You wouldn't want to meet him on a dark night!

A change of scene and a few firsts today for J. A trip to London as a tourist, and a return to the classic school trip of my youth...the Natural History and Science Museums.

Obviously J had to try to guess where we were going, and having exhausted everywhere in the W Midlands gave up guessing...at around Northampton on the M1! Eventually I let on that we were going to London...he said
'I've been to London'
'Oh have you' I replied
'Yes London Luton Airport'
Cheap Airlines have something to answer for don't they!

I think the most excitement was the fact we were parking the car and using the train from Luton! Having said that the tube, escalators, turnstiles, your own ticket to hold in your hand, all had some excitement attached. This fella topped the day off though, Mr T Rex, fully animated and back from 250 million years ago!

Lots of fun and a really special day, J decided that K had properly missed out and concluded that she probably wasn't having such a good time teaching the Germans to speak English (two weeks ago he asked what she was doing in Germany and this was the easiest thing to explain...he just remembers too well!)

Finally, I explained that J's Grandad...Billy Goat went to University near the Natural History Museum, J concluded that 'Grandad went to University at the dinosaur place'. It could have been so much worse!
