Washstand

I took today off & spent it with my mum in London. We met for #elevensestime at the V&A cafe, after which we spent an hour looking at the Grace Kelly exhibition. We also hunted out some William Morris & Charles Rennie Mackintosh pieces to look at before heading out for lunch.

This is a Liberty & Co washstand from around 1894. It's unusal yet attractive design caught my eye.

After lunch I took mum to Wholefoods at High Street Kensington to experience their extensive (and expensive!) variety of food products. From there, we walked to Harrods where mum treated herself to a cream tea.

I am now sitting back at home after a lovely day, made even lovelier by my OH cooking me fish for dinner. : )
