With his approval rating and popularity on the slide back home, Barack has been reduced to drumming up support around the world.

Obviously he's started his global charm offensive in Edinburgh.

His musical comedy show is one of the highlights of the Fringe. Well it is if you listen to his aides, spin doctors and secret service staff.

Loads of people have great fun up on the Royal Mile today, and photo opportunities all over the place.

If I hadn't met The President I would probably have went with

* Fur Hat Girl (even with the strange hand in the background), or

* Blue Sky Eyes or even

* Bowler.
